As far as sentient creatures are concerned, there are 50 kinds of sentient creatures upon Planet Hetrae. The first and most notable of the 50 is the human. Created in the image of the Creator, humans are intelligent bipedal creatures capable of an unlimited number of inventions and devices. They were created in innocence and placed in a perfect world along with the other 49 sentient creatures. The first man was named Adalwen, and his wife was named Evelia. Humans were placed in charge over all the other creatures, including the 49 species of sentient beasts. Given that my story parallels the Bible, Adalwen and Evelia ultimately sinned against their Creator in the garden by the consumption of the forbidden fruit. On the day that they fell, the other 49 sentient creature species likewise committed various acts of transgression, as all 50 species were tempted by Cinatas, the demonic master of evil. All 50 species of sentient creatures were cursed with the ability to die (though not all creatures would be cursed with death by sickness and old age) and were banished from the Garden of Paradise as a result.

Ever since that day of banishment, mankind has lived a brutal existence on Hetrae. Before The Great Catastrophe occurred, humans were regularly living naturally long lives of roughly a thousand years. For five thousand years did humans maintain this claim to long lives. Many technological advancements were made, and it was within those five thousand years that humans achieved the kind of technology Earth achieved during the years of the American Revolutionary War. Yes, humans achieved firearms in this world before The Great Catastrophe occurred. With this longevity and technological advancement, humanity became only evil continually. Many members of the other 49 species also became wicked. When the judgment finally came, only 7 human families across the 7 continents were chosen to be spared by God. These families built massive shelters and hid in them.

It should also be noted that prior to the Great Catastrophe, humans were breeding with demons. Humans capable of growing to a height of 20 feet were the results of these cross breedings. Though the majority of these half-human and half-demon giants were evil, some did forsake the wickedness of their demonic fathers to serve God. The fact that demonic cross breeding was happening was partly what prompted the Creator to wipe out the world of its wickedness. Anyway, the 7 families built their shelters across the 7 continents and sheltered some animals with them. Both beast and bird and good sentient creatures hid with these righteous humans. Then The Great Catastrophe came in the form of violent earthquakes and great volcanic eruptions. Everything that was not in a shelter died. The aquatic creatures survived relatively unscathed. After this catastrophe happened, humans were reset to a more primitive existence, and their lifespans were cut down to no more than a maximum of 200 years on average.

In the years to come, the Creator would set aside a chosen people for Himself. Their lineage is recorded in the Holy Codex. The Learsians, they are called, and they lived upon the continent of Arubia. It was through the Learsians that Christus the Messiah came. 5,000 years after The Great Catastrophe, Christus came into the world and died for humanity to redeem everyone who would repent. At the same time, Christus died to bring salvation to the other 49 sentient creatures who were not humans. A few decades after Christus came to Hetrae and subsequently went back to Heaven, the Learsians lost their holy temple and were scattered abroad upon the earth by an empire known as the great Gritalian Empire. The Gritalians, at this time, had dominion over 3 of the 7 continents. In a couple of centuries after the expulsion of the Learsians, the Gritalians were disbanded as an empire and lost their dominion.

Another five thousand years would pass before any events related to Sir Persevere would happen. On the continent of Aquilus, humanity would begin an experiment in republicanism. The country that was founded as a result was Tesar. Tesar was founded two thousand years after the death and resurrection of Christus. Roughly 3,100 years after the founding of Tesar, Sir Persevere himself would finally come into the picture. He, along with six other humans, would don some prophetic armor and weapons to bring deliverance to Tesar against the tyrant known as Count Doom. About another 9,000 years after the events of Sir Persevere, humanity would achieve the technology of computers and get themselves into perversity great enough to prompt the Creator to destroy the world and start over. Though before the world was destroyed, Sir Persevere and his friends would be awakened (for they had been asleep for 9,000 years after the events concerning Count Doom). They would combat the evil before the Creator Himself finally came and set up 1,000 years of goodness upon Hetrae. Once those 1,000 years were complete, humanity would stage a final rebellion, prompting the Creator to destroy planet Hetrae and start over with a new planet, a planet where there would be no evil at all. That new planet would be known as Hetreon for all eternity. It would be on Hetreon that Sir Persevere and all the saints would live forever with their Creator in perfect paradise.
